Well, it's been a long time since I took some time to post some thoughts and updates here. I figured it was definitely time to update this blog. As you can tell from the title of his entry, time is really moving. 2010 was a year full of a lot of flux. Both professionally, personally and musically.
A Highlight in 2010 was thatI played a few gigs that were fun and memorable. One that sticks out primarily was when I opened for DJ/Producer Trinidadian Deep, & veteran DJ/Producer Phil Asher after being called to fill in last minute for a SEED event in Boston, hosted by good friend, DJ/Producer Bradford James.
I've been doing the "LIVE & Direct" webcast since March of last year, and let me tell you, it is a lot of fun, but also requires a lot of time. I'm glad I am doing it...keeps me on my toes as well as having a good time with fellow DJ & Music enthusiasts.
Once again, however, I am not quite settled in a viable, sustainable employment situation....Hopefully this time, I'll land in the right place with right people. Its amazing how much my job situation affects my overall mental state and creativity & motivation. Time to kick myself in the rear!
I've had minimal time in production, some of the tracks I've been working on have been put on hold. I definitely need to get back on the ball in that regard. Although even with not as much time at my disposal since the last entry, I've managed to make some progress, and some progress is better than no progress.
I was hoping to make a trip to Miami this year for the 2011 WMC (World Music Conference) but once again, doesn't seem like that I'm in a situation to really go about it.
Well, I'll keep you posted, once again thanks for your support and interest!
Cheers,
Deepstate
